Naturalcrystal refers to a crystal that forms by natural geological processes without deliberate human synthesis. Natural crystals originate when atoms arrange into a regular lattice as minerals crystallize from silicate melts, precipitate from aqueous solutions, or recrystallize during metamorphism. They occur in a wide range of sizes, from microscopic grains to large crystals, and display diverse habits from well-formed euhedral shapes to irregular forms.

Common natural crystals belong to minerals such as quartz (SiO2), calcite (CaCO3), halite (NaCl), gypsum (CaSO4·2H2O), and various feldspars. Their external shapes, cleavage or fracture, hardness, luster, and color are influenced by temperature, pressure, chemical composition, and trace impurities.
