Moonwalker is a term used to designate a person who has walked on the Moon. Since 1969, twelve astronauts have achieved moonwalking, all during NASA's Apollo program (1969–1972). The twelve moonwalkers are Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Charles "Pete" Conrad, Alan Bean, Alan Shepard, Edgar Mitchell, David Scott, James Irwin, John Young, Charles Duke, Eugene Cernan, and Harrison Schmitt.
