monokulární
Monokulární refers to an object or optical device designed for use with one eye. This contrasts with binocular devices, which are intended for use with both eyes. The term is often used in the context of optical instruments such as telescopes or microscopes. A monocular telescope, for example, allows for magnified viewing of distant objects but only through a single eyepiece. Similarly, a monocular microscope provides magnified views of microscopic specimens, again requiring the user to look through one lens. While binocular devices often offer a more immersive and potentially comfortable viewing experience, monocular instruments can be more compact, lighter, and less expensive. They are also sometimes preferred in situations where a wider field of vision is needed, or when one eye needs to remain free for other tasks. The term can also describe a single lens used for magnification, as opposed to a compound lens system.
