monistische
Monistische refers to a philosophical stance that asserts reality is composed of a single, fundamental substance or principle. This contrasts with dualism, which posits two distinct substances, and pluralism, which suggests many. In monism, all phenomena, whether material or spiritual, are ultimately reducible to this one underlying reality. Various interpretations exist within monism. Material monism, for example, holds that only matter exists, and mental phenomena are merely a product of material processes. Idealist monism, conversely, proposes that reality is fundamentally mental or spiritual, with the material world being a manifestation of consciousness or mind. Neutral monism suggests a single substance that is neither purely mental nor purely material, but possesses aspects of both. Thinkers throughout history have explored monistic ideas, contributing to diverse schools of thought. The concept aims to provide a unified understanding of existence, seeking to explain the interconnectedness of all things through a singular foundation.
