mikrogametiöiden
Mikrogametiöiden, also known as microgametophytes, are the male reproductive structures in seed plants. They are produced by the microspores, which are haploid cells formed within the pollen grains. The development of a microgametophyte begins with the germination of the pollen grain on the stigma of a pistil, leading to the formation of a pollen tube that grows towards the ovule. Within the pollen tube, the microgametophyte develops, consisting of a single cell that eventually divides to form two sperm cells. These sperm cells are crucial for fertilization, as one of them fuses with the egg cell in the ovule to form a zygote, initiating the development of the embryo. The other sperm cell fuses with the central cell of the ovule, contributing to the endosperm, which provides nutrients for the developing embryo. The microgametophyte's role is essential for the continuation of the plant's genetic material and the production of seeds.
