They offer faster startup times, reduced memory footprint, and improved security by minimizing the attack surface. Tools like gVisor, Kata Containers, and Firecracker are examples of technologies that facilitate microcontainerization. Despite their advantages, microcontainers may not be suitable for all use cases, especially those requiring complex dependencies or extensive system libraries.
