Magneetväljas, often transliterated as "magneetväljas" or sometimes "magnetic field" in English, refers to the region surrounding a magnetic material or an electric current where magnetic forces can be detected. This field is not directly visible but exerts influence on other magnetic materials and moving electric charges.

The strength and direction of a magnetic field at any point are described by the magnetic field vector. This vector's magnitude represents the intensity of the magnetic force, and its direction indicates the orientation of the force. Magnetic fields are typically visualized using magnetic field lines, which are imaginary lines that show the direction of the field. These lines emerge from a magnetic north pole and enter a magnetic south pole, forming closed loops.
