Common examples of lämmönvälittäjä include water, which is widely used in central heating systems, radiators, and industrial processes due to its excellent heat capacity and availability. Steam is another effective lämmönvälittäjä, particularly for high-temperature applications, as it can carry a significant amount of latent heat. Refrigerants, such as Freons or newer alternatives, are specialized lämmönvälittäjä used in cooling and air conditioning systems to absorb heat from a cooled space and release it elsewhere. Oils, like mineral oils or synthetic oils, are also employed as heat transfer fluids in certain industrial settings, especially where water might be unsuitable due to freezing or corrosion concerns. Air can also act as a lämmönvälittäjä, particularly in natural convection or forced convection systems like in air-based heating and cooling.
