Łutne is a small village situated in the north‑eastern part of Poland, within the administrative district of Gmina Nidzica, Nidzica County, in the Warmian‑Masurian Voivodeship. The settlement lies approximately 7 kilometres southwest of the town of Nidzica and about 52 kilometres south of the regional capital Olsztyn. The village is positioned in a predominantly rural area characterised by agricultural activity and forested landscapes typical of the Masurian lowland.

Historical references to Łutne date back to the 16th century, when the area was part of the Kingdom of Poland. During the partitions of Poland, the territory was incorporated into the German Empire, and after World War II it was restored to Poland. The village saw modest population changes over the decades, with a recorded population of around 120 residents in the early 2000s. Local economic life largely revolves around small‑scale farming and forestry.

Łutne does not host major industrial or cultural institutions but is noted for its picturesque rural setting and proximity to the lakes of the Warmian‑Masurian region. The community is governed locally by the elected council of Gmina Nidzica, which manages municipal services and development projects for the village and its surrounding settlements.
