Lillhjärnan, also known as the cerebellum, is a major structure of the brain located at the back of the skull, beneath the occipital and temporal lobes of the cerebral cortex. It plays a crucial role in coordinating voluntary movements such as posture, balance, coordination, and speech, resulting in smooth and balanced muscular activity. It is also involved in motor learning, enabling individuals to perform a wide range of voluntary movements.
The cerebellum is composed of two hemispheres and is covered by the cerebellar cortex. It receives input
