Lihaspump, also known as the muscular pump or muscle pump, refers to the temporary increase in muscle size experienced during and immediately after resistance exercise. This phenomenon occurs when blood flow to the working muscles increases significantly to deliver oxygen and nutrients, and to remove metabolic byproducts. The increased blood volume engorges the muscles, causing them to swell and appear larger.
