Lépoelektron is a type of glass produced through the process of insulating glass unit manufacturing. It is characterized by the interlocking spacers that hold two panes of glass together, creating a single sealed unit. The name Lepoelektron is derived from the German words "Lepoelektronen", meaning "lead-lead electron", which refers to the interface created between the two panes.

The inner spacer is made of a type of metal, usually consisting of a selection of materials that meet specific requirements regarding thermal conductivity and dimensional stability. This minimizes the thermal bridge effect that could otherwise compromise the insulation properties of the window.

Lépoelektron glass units function as a well-isolated compartment. The application of air and gas welding allows for the interconnection of the panes with sealed by edge gaskets. Lépoelektron glass is double-glazed technology which improves building insulation.

Its production process by air tight sealing and particular post-compression LED value allows closing energy loss. The glass panes which are fitted to the double-glazed construction of current glass are primarily sealed in place with the profile seals defined as warm structure.

Perimeter thermal breaks ensure that heat is kept inside the building, eliminating thermal bridges created by vertical and horizontal structural members.
