Lentalpia is not a standard term in established thermodynamics or physics. In many cases it appears as a misspelling or misrendering of entalpia, the term used in several languages (for example Spanish and Italian) for enthalpy. In English, enthalpy is denoted by H and is a state function that represents the heat content of a system.

Enthalpy is defined in thermodynamics as H = U + pV, where U is internal energy, p is pressure, and V is volume. It is useful for describing energy transfer as heat in processes occurring at constant pressure. The change in enthalpy, ΔH, corresponds to the heat added or removed under those conditions.

Outside strict science, lentalpia may be encountered as a fictional or speculative concept in world-building or popular science fiction. In such contexts, it can be used to denote an energy-like quantity, energy density, or a form of work potential defined by the creator. Because these uses are nonstandard, their meanings vary and are not universally accepted.
