Käyttöturvallisuustiedote, often abbreviated as KTT, is a Finnish term referring to a Safety Data Sheet (SDS). It is a document that provides comprehensive information about the hazards of a chemical substance or mixture and recommends safety precautions for handling, storing, and disposing of it. The primary purpose of a KTT is to inform users about the risks associated with a product and to enable them to take appropriate measures to protect human health and the environment.

KTT documents are mandated by legislation in many countries, including Finland, to ensure the safe use of chemicals in workplaces and by consumers. They are typically prepared by the manufacturer or supplier of the chemical product. The information contained within a KTT is standardized and covers various aspects, including identification of the substance or mixture, hazard identification, composition/information on ingredients, first-aid measures, fire-fighting measures, accidental release measures, handling and storage, exposure controls/personal protection, physical and chemical properties, stability and reactivity, toxicological information, ecological information, disposal considerations, transport information, and regulatory information.

The target audience for a KTT includes employers, employees, emergency responders, and anyone who handles or might be exposed to the chemical. Access to and understanding of KTTs are crucial for risk assessment and the implementation of effective safety measures in the workplace. Employers are responsible for ensuring that KTTs are readily available to their employees and that employees are trained on how to understand and use the information provided.
