Kyynärvarresta is the Finnish word for forearm. The forearm is the part of the upper limb between the elbow and the wrist. It is composed of two long bones, the radius and the ulna, which run parallel to each other. The radius is located on the thumb side of the forearm, and the ulna is on the little finger side. These bones articulate with the humerus at the elbow joint and with the carpal bones at the wrist joint.

Blood supply to the forearm is provided by the radial and ulnar arteries, which are branches of the brachial artery. Nerve innervation is primarily from the median, ulnar, and radial nerves, which originate from the brachial plexus. The forearm is crucial for a wide range of daily activities, including grasping, lifting, writing, and many athletic movements. Injuries to the forearm, such as fractures or muscle strains, can significantly impact a person's functional ability.
