Connective tissues are broadly classified into several categories based on their structure and function. These include loose connective tissue, which is found throughout the body and provides support and nourishment; dense connective tissue, which has a higher proportion of fibers and is found in tendons and ligaments; cartilage, a flexible yet strong tissue found in joints and other structures; bone, a rigid tissue that forms the skeleton; and blood, a fluid connective tissue that transports nutrients, gases, and waste products. Each type of connective tissue plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and function of the body.
