Kiinteälämpötilailmaisin, known in English as a fixed-temperature detector or fixed-temperature alarm, is a type of fire detection device. Its primary function is to trigger an alarm when the ambient temperature reaches a predetermined, fixed threshold. Unlike rate-of-rise detectors that react to the speed of temperature increase, kiinteälämpötilailmaisimet respond only when a specific temperature level is consistently met or exceeded.

These detectors are typically activated by a heat-sensitive element that undergoes a physical change or melts at a set temperature. Common activation points are usually between 57 and 77 degrees Celsius (135 to 170 degrees Fahrenheit), although custom temperatures can be manufactured for specific applications. The simplicity of their design makes them reliable and less prone to false alarms caused by rapid but non-fire-related temperature fluctuations, such as those from steam or cooking.

Kiinteälämpötilailmaisimet are suitable for environments where a steady, high-temperature rise is expected during a fire, such as kitchens, industrial areas, or garages. They are less effective in spaces where fires may smolder and produce heat slowly, as the temperature might not reach the fixed threshold quickly enough to provide timely warning. Their operation does not rely on smoke particles, making them useful in dusty or steamy environments where smoke detectors might malfunction.
