Középpontja is the Hungarian possessive form of középpont, meaning “its center” or “the center of something.” The base noun középpont denotes a central point around which other parts of an object or system are organized or measured. The form with the possessive suffix marks reference to a specific object in a sentence, for example “a test középpontja” meaning “the center of the body.”

In geometry, the center of a circle or sphere is the point equidistant from all points on the boundary. For polygons, several standard centers are defined depending on the context: the centroid (geometric center of area), the circumcenter (center of the circumscribed circle), the incenter (intersection of angle bisectors), and the orthocenter (intersection of altitudes). The concept of középpontja would describe the center of a particular object, such as “a kör középpontja” for the circle’s center.
