jäähdytyskeskukset
Jäähdytyskeskukset, or district cooling centers, are facilities that provide chilled water to multiple buildings within a defined area. This chilled water is then used by individual buildings for air conditioning and other cooling purposes. Instead of each building having its own, often inefficient, cooling system, a central plant produces chilled water in a more energy-efficient manner. This central production can take advantage of economies of scale and more advanced technologies.
The chilled water is distributed through a network of insulated underground pipes to the connected buildings.
The advantages of district cooling include improved energy efficiency, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and lower maintenance
