The range is the difference between the highest and lowest values, the variance is the average of the squared differences from the mean, and the standard deviation is the square root of the variance.

Descriptive statistics is widely used in various fields, including business, economics, psychology, and social sciences, to summarize and interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
