interventikulærgren
Interventrikulærgren refers to the branches of the bundle of His that carry electrical impulses from the bundle branches to the ventricular myocardium. These specialized conducting fibers are responsible for the rapid depolarization of the ventricles, initiating ventricular contraction. The electrical signal travels down the right and left bundle branches, which are extensions of the atrioventricular bundle. From the bundle branches, the signal then propagates into the Purkinje fibers. These Purkinje fibers form a network throughout the ventricular walls, ensuring that the muscle cells are activated in a coordinated manner. This precise timing is crucial for efficient ventricular pumping of blood into the pulmonary artery and aorta. Any disruption to the interventrikulærgren can lead to abnormal heart rhythms, known as arrhythmias, which can affect the heart's ability to pump effectively.
