identycznociowy is a theoretical concept in relational sociology and graph theory that describes a set of entities or individuals whose immediate relational contexts—also referred to as neighbourhoods or adjacent connections—are identical in structure and composition. The term is a neologism derived from the Polish words “identyczny” (identical) and “ciowy” (a suffix implying relational property). It is used primarily within studies of social networks, organizational structures, and digital communication platforms where the pattern of connections matters as much as the connections themselves.

In a graph the identycznociowy property requires that for any two vertices belonging to the same identycznociowy class, the sets of vertices they connect to be isomorphic under a bijection that preserves edge labels when a labeling is present. In unlabelled simple graphs this condition reduces to requiring identical degree sequences and the same adjacency matrix substructures when the vertices are reordered.
