Halogenowodorowiec is a Polish term that translates to hydrogen halide in English. It refers to a binary compound of hydrogen and a halogen. The halogens are fluorine (F), chlorine (Cl), bromine (Br), iodine (I), and astatine (At). Therefore, hydrogen halides include hydrogen fluoride (HF), hydrogen chloride (HCl), hydrogen bromide (HBr), hydrogen iodide (HI), and hydrogen astatide (HAt).
