Färgsinglethadroner are hypothetical subatomic particles within the framework of quantum chromodynamics (QCD). The term "hadron" refers to composite particles made of quarks, bound together by the strong nuclear force. Specifically, hadrons are categorized as either baryons (three quarks) or mesons (a quark and an antiquark). The "color" in "färgsinglethadroner" refers to the quantum property of quarks known as color charge. Quarks come in three "colors": red, green, and blue, and antiquarks come in the corresponding "anticolors": antired, antigreen, and antiblue.

The fundamental principle of QCD is color confinement, which states that only color-neutral (or "white") combinations of quarks can exist as free, observable particles. However, due to color confinement, these hypothetical colored singletons are expected to be permanently bound within color-neutral hadrons and not observable as free particles in the vacuum.
