Fotbo is a fictional sport that combines elements of traditional football and basketball. It is played on a rectangular field with two goals, similar to football, but also features elevated hoops at either end, reminiscent of basketball. The objective of the game is to score points by either kicking the ball into the goal or by throwing it through the hoop.

Teams in fotbo consist of seven players each. Players can advance the ball by kicking it along the ground or passing it through the air. They are also permitted to pick up the ball and dribble it, similar to basketball, but only for a limited number of steps before they must pass or shoot. Physical contact is allowed to a degree, but excessive force or tackling is penalized.

Scoring in fotbo is achieved in two ways. A successful kick into the goal awards three points. A successful throw through the hoop, which must be made from within a designated shooting arc, awards two points. The game is divided into two halves, with a halftime break. The team with the highest score at the end of the game wins. Fotbo is known for its fast-paced nature and the strategic decisions players must make regarding whether to aim for the goal or the hoop. The sport emphasizes both footwork and hand-eye coordination, requiring a diverse skill set from its athletes.
