Esindamisele is the Estonian grammatical form connected to the noun esindamine, meaning representation or the act of representing. It is used mainly in formal or legal texts to indicate the target or occasion of representation; as a standalone concept it is not common in everyday speech. The form appears in inflected constructions describing to whom or for what the representation is directed.

In legal and administrative contexts, esindamine refers to representing a person or organization in transactions, negotiations, or judicial proceedings. A representative acts on behalf of the represented within the scope granted by law or by a specific authorization, such as a volikiri (power of attorney), guardianship, or corporate authorization. Types include private representation in civil matters, representation by an attorney or other authorized agent, and statutory representation by guardians or trustees.

Duties and limits: The representative must act in the interests and according to the instructions of the represented, disclose relevant information, and comply with applicable law. Representation can be terminated by revocation, expiry, or court order, and the represented may be liable for the acts of the representative within the given authority.
