Erythroblastceller, also known as nucleated red blood cells or normoblasts, are immature red blood cells found in the bone marrow and, in certain pathological conditions, in the peripheral blood. They are precursors to mature erythrocytes, which are responsible for oxygen transport in the blood. Erythroblastceller originate from hematopoietic stem cells and undergo a series of developmental stages characterized by changes in nuclear size and chromatin condensation, as well as the synthesis of hemoglobin.

The maturation process of erythroblastceller involves several distinct phases, starting with the proerythroblast, which is a large cell with a large nucleus and basophilic cytoplasm. As it matures, it progresses through the basophilic erythroblast, polychromatophilic erythroblast, and orthochromatophilic erythroblast stages. During these stages, the nucleus becomes smaller and more condensed, and the cytoplasm changes from basophilic to eosinophilic due to increasing hemoglobin content.

In healthy adults, fully mature erythroblastceller are confined to the bone marrow and are not normally found circulating in the bloodstream. However, their presence in peripheral blood can be an indicator of various conditions, including severe anemia, hypoxia, certain types of leukemia, and bone marrow disorders. The number and type of circulating erythroblastceller can provide valuable diagnostic information to clinicians. The identification and enumeration of these cells are typically performed through microscopic examination of blood smears or bone marrow aspirates.
