energiasäästulampide
Energiasäästulampide, known in English as energy-saving lamps or compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), are a type of lighting designed to consume less electricity than traditional incandescent bulbs. They achieve this by using fluorescence to produce light. Inside the glass tube of an energiasäästulamp, a small amount of mercury vapor and an inert gas are present. When electricity flows through the lamp, it excites the mercury vapor, causing it to emit ultraviolet (UV) light. This UV light then strikes a fluorescent coating on the inside of the tube, which converts the UV radiation into visible light.
Energiasäästulampide offer significant advantages in terms of energy efficiency. They can use up to 75% less
However, it is important to note that energiasäästulampide contain a small amount of mercury, a toxic substance.
