embrionálneho
Embrionálne refers to the earliest stage of development in animals, following fertilization and preceding the fetal stage. This period is characterized by rapid cell division, differentiation, and the formation of the basic body plan. In humans and other mammals, the embryonic period typically lasts from fertilization until the end of the eighth week of gestation. During this time, the single-celled zygote undergoes cleavage to form a blastocyst, which then implants in the uterine wall. Subsequently, the three primary germ layers – ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm – develop, giving rise to all the tissues and organs of the body. This is a critical phase where the foundations of the organism are laid, and it is particularly sensitive to environmental influences that can cause congenital abnormalities. The term "embrionálne" is the Slovak adjective corresponding to "embryonic" in English.
