Elektrostatisme, or electrostatics, is the branch of physics that studies stationary electric charges and the forces, fields, and potentials they produce. The fundamental principle of electrostatics is Coulomb's law, which describes the force between two point charges. The force is directly proportional to the product of the magnitudes of the charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.
