ectoderme
Ectoderm is one of the three primary germ layers that form during early embryonic development. It is the outermost of these layers, situated above the mesoderm and endoderm. The ectoderm arises during gastrulation, a critical phase where the simple spherical blastula reorganizes into a multilayered structure.
The primary role of the ectoderm is to give rise to the nervous system and the epidermis.
