diafízisben
Diafízisben refers to the diaphysis, which is the shaft or central part of a long bone. Long bones, such as the femur (thigh bone) or humerus (upper arm bone), are characterized by their elongated shape. The diaphysis is the primary component of these bones and is composed mainly of compact bone, providing structural strength and rigidity. Within the diaphysis, a hollow cavity called the medullary cavity is present. This cavity is typically filled with bone marrow, which is responsible for producing blood cells. During fetal development and childhood, the diaphysis is the main site of ossification, where cartilage is gradually replaced by bone. In adults, the diaphysis's primary role is to support the body's weight and facilitate movement by serving as an attachment point for muscles. Fractures occurring in this region are common and are referred to as diaphyseal fractures.
