Defäkate is the biological process of expelling feces from the body. It is the final step in the digestive process, where indigestible material from food is eliminated. This process involves the coordinated action of several organs and muscles, including the intestines, rectum, and anal sphincter.

The process begins when waste material, known as feces, moves from the small intestine to the large intestine. In the large intestine, water is absorbed, and the remaining waste is formed into solid or semi-solid matter. This waste then travels to the rectum, the final section of the large intestine, where it is stored.

When the rectum becomes sufficiently full, it triggers a defecation reflex. This reflex causes the rectal muscles to contract and the anal sphincter muscles to relax, allowing for the expulsion of feces from the anus. The frequency and consistency of defecation can vary significantly among individuals and can be influenced by diet, hydration, activity levels, and various health conditions. Maintaining regular bowel movements is generally considered an indicator of good digestive health.
