Damitradial is a term used in geometry and network theory to describe a composite measure that links a figure or graph’s diameter with its radial properties from a designated center. The word is a portmanteau of diameter and radial, and it is not widely standardized; different authors have defined damitradial in slightly different ways.

In one common interpretation, damitradial refers to the ratio D/R where D is the diameter of the object (the greatest distance between two points in a set) and R is a chosen radial distance parameter from a center point or from the set of points. In a circle, with D = 2R, this ratio equals 2. In a finite path graph, with D approximately twice the average distance from the central node, the damitradial ratio tends toward 2 as the size grows. In network contexts, damitradial can be used to express how spread (diameter) scales with central reach (average or maximum radial distance from center nodes).

Uses of the concept appear mainly in theoretical discussions of symmetry, spread, and centrality, where a single scalar capturing both long-range extent and proximal dispersion is convenient for comparisons. Because damitradial is not universally defined, practitioners should specify the exact formula, including how the center is chosen and whether radii are average or maximum distances.
