Cysteinalapú is a term used in Hungarian to describe substances, materials, or systems that are based on cysteine, the sulfur-containing amino acid. In practice, cystinalapú materials rely on the thiol group of cysteine to enable covalent bonding, crosslinking, or bioconjugation.

Chemically, cysteine features a sulfhydryl group (-SH) that can form disulfide bonds and participate in redox reactions.
