Byggnings is a Nordic term historically used to denote construction or a building. It derives from the verb byggja/bygga, meaning to build. In Swedish, the standard word for a building is byggnad; byggning or byggnings survives mainly in older texts or dialects as a generic term for construction or a structure. In Norwegian and Danish, related forms exist, but modern usage differs by language.

Historically, byggnings covered a broad range of Nordic construction practices, from timber-framed houses to stone and brick urban fabric, and it appears in contracts and deeds describing completed structures.

Today the term is largely confined to historical or regional contexts; contemporary discourse uses precise terms for building types and construction processes, and for preservation of historic byggningar in Nordic countries.
