bijektiivisiin
Bijektiivisiin is a Finnish term that translates to "bijective" in English. In mathematics, a function is bijective if it is both injective and surjective. An injective function, also known as a one-to-one function, is one where each element of the codomain is mapped to by at most one element of the domain. This means that if f(a) = f(b), then a must equal b. A surjective function, also known as an onto function, is one where every element in the codomain is mapped to by at least one element in the domain. In other words, for every y in the codomain, there exists at least one x in the domain such that f(x) = y.
Therefore, a bijective function establishes a perfect pairing between the elements of its domain and codomain.
