Batchframleiðsla, also known as batch production, is a manufacturing method where products are produced in specific quantities or batches. Each batch goes through a particular stage of the manufacturing process before moving on to the next. This is in contrast to continuous production, where a product is manufactured without interruption, or project production, which is for unique, large-scale items.
In batch production, equipment and workstations are set up to produce a specific batch of a product.
