Aszimmetriával is a Hungarian term used to describe the presence of asymmetry in a system, object, or process. Aszimmetria is the lack of symmetry: an organism, structure, or pattern does not appear identical when transformed by a symmetry operation such as reflection or rotation.

In geometry, asymmetrical figures do not possess a line of symmetry or rotational symmetry. In biology, asymmetry appears in forms and arrangements, from internal organ positioning to external features that are not perfectly mirrored. Many living beings exhibit bilateral symmetry overall, while asymmetrical traits or asymmetries due to development or environment are common.
