Antipodeans are people or things that are diametrically opposite to each other. The term originates from the Greek words anti, meaning "opposite," and podes, meaning "feet." It is most commonly used to refer to the inhabitants of Australia and New Zealand, who live on the opposite side of the Earth from many European countries, particularly the United Kingdom.

When viewed from a global perspective, Australia and New Zealand are geographically situated on the antipode of Europe. This means that if one were to drill a hole through the Earth's center from a point in Europe, they would emerge in the Australasian region.
