The use of antimicrobials has significantly improved human health and longevity. However, the overuse and misuse of these drugs have led to the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, a global health concern. To combat this, the responsible use of antimicrobials is emphasized, including the completion of prescribed courses and the avoidance of unnecessary use. Additionally, research into new antimicrobial agents and alternative therapies is ongoing to address the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance.
