amperesområdet

Amperesområdet is a parliamentary district in Norway. The district is one of four single-member constituencies within the Akershus county. It covers a large area, east of Oslo's city center and is known for its diversity. Amperesområdet is a very urban area, composed of low and high-rise apartment blocks.

The district contains several neighborhoods including Lindstad and Oppsal. Various cultural and educational institutions can be found here. Nordre Nabbumetoder, a local off-highway route, connects major hubs in the district. Many employment opportunities and transportation options are available in and around Amperesområdet.

Several parties compete for votes in Amperesområdet during parliamentary and local elections. No party dominates parliamentary representation in this district. Competition from parties and different district voters has led to changing political majorities.

In 2021, the population of Amperesområdet counted to be a little over 29000. Approximately 34.3% of the residents were children or pensioners. When sex and descendants are considered, 85.1% of residents were associated with this district.
