Alertou is a Portuguese verb form. It is the third-person singular pretérito perfeito (simple past) of alertar, meaning to warn or to alert. The verb alertar is regular in the -ar group; its principal forms include eu alertei, tu alertaste, ele alertou, nós alertamos, vós alertastes, eles alertaram.
