al-Tha'alibi was a prominent Arab scholar and lexicographer who lived from around 961 to 1038 CE. His full name was Abu Mansur Abd al-Malik ibn Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Tha'alibi al-Nisaburi. He was born in Nishapur, a major city in Persia, and spent much of his life there. Al-Tha'alibi is renowned for his significant contributions to Arabic language and literature, particularly in the field of lexicography and belles-lettres.
His most famous work is "Fihrist al-Ulum" (Encyclopedia of Sciences), which is a comprehensive overview of various
