Aandete is a small, historically documented settlement located in the southeastern region of the fictional province of Loria, within the nation of Vesperia. The settlement was first mentioned in 13th‑century chronicles as a modest farming community situated near the confluence of the Arlen and Dorea rivers. Its name is thought to derive from the ancient Vesperian word “aande,” meaning “hill,” and “te,” a suffix indicating a place of habitation.

Throughout the medieval period, Aandete functioned primarily as an agricultural hub, producing grains, legumes, and wool for nearby market towns. The local economy was supported by a modest cooperative mill built in 1472, which operated until the early 20th century when industrialization led to the centralization of grain processing in larger urban centers.

In the 19th century, Aandete experienced a modest population increase due to the establishment of a carpentry workshop that supplied timber for the expanding railway network across Vesperia.
