Zollgrößen
Zollgrößen refer to a system of measurement commonly used for dimensions, particularly in the United States and historically in Great Britain. The primary unit of measurement in this system is the inch, which is defined as exactly 25.4 millimeters. The term "Zoll" is the German word for inch, hence the German term "Zollgrößen." This system is widely used for specifying the size of items such as screens (televisions, monitors, smartphones), tires (automotive and bicycle), and pipes.
The inch is further divided into fractions, such as halves, quarters, eighths, and sixteenths, for finer measurements.
