Zahtu

Zahtu is a fictional planet featured in the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. It is located in the Alpha Quadrant and is the homeworld of the species known as the Bajorans. The planet is characterized by its rocky terrain and arid climate, with sparse vegetation. Bajor has a history of colonization and occupation by other species, most notably the Cardassians. Deep Space Nine, a former Cardassian space station, was repurposed and renamed by the Bajorans and is strategically located in orbit around Bajor, serving as a vital hub for trade and diplomacy in the region.
