Wupatki
Wupatki National Monument is located in northern Arizona, northeast of Flagstaff. It preserves a remarkable collection of ancestral Puebloan and Sinagua ruins, some of the most intact red rock cliff dwellings in the region. The monument protects over 100 archeological sites, with the Wupatki ("Tall House") Pueblo being the most prominent. This large pueblo, built between 1025 and 1100 CE, is constructed from smoothly fitted red sandstone blocks.
