Wälde is a municipality in the district of Hildburghausen, in Thuringia, Germany. It is situated approximately 10 kilometers southwest of Hildburghausen, the district's principal town. The municipality was formed on January 1, 2019, through the merger of the former municipalities of Volkmannsdorf, Wellersdorf, and Wälde itself.
