Vooluvõimendust

Vooluvõimendust is a fundamental concept in electronics, referring to the process by which an electronic circuit or device increases the magnitude of an electric current. This amplification is achieved by using a small input current to control a larger output current. The primary purpose of vooluvõimendust is to enable weak signals to drive more powerful loads or to be transmitted over longer distances without significant loss of information.

The most common devices used for vooluvõimendust are transistors, such as bipolar junction transistors (BJTs) and field-effect transistors (FETs). In a transistor, a small current or voltage applied to a control terminal (base or gate) modulates the flow of a much larger current between two other terminals (collector and emitter, or drain and source). This control mechanism allows for the amplification of the input signal's current.

It is essential in audio amplifiers to increase the power of a microphone signal to drive speakers, in radio receivers to boost weak antenna signals, and in signal processing circuits to manipulate electrical signals.
